Scenes from one orphanage before Big Family help
Here are a few photos taken at one orphanage when we first visited it in 2003. We are happy
to report that conditions have much improved at this orphanage, thanks to help from Big
Family Mission and the local church. When we first visited the orphanage, the children had no
working facility for showers and no hot water. They washed their clothing in the plastic pail
that you see in the one photo below. Kitchen equipment and toilets were old and falling apart.
